TrueCar's revenue is driven by lead referrals to dealers and helping close the sale, the success of our dealers was directly tied to the success of TrueCar.
While the web portal covered full relationship management, this mobile app was conceived for a more specific purpose: an "on the lot" tool for salespeople facilitating deals with specific customers. Despite functional parity with the web portal (same APIs and data), the mobile app focused squarely on the core jobs-to-be-done for one user type, the sales person on the lot.
